Getting ready for another festival!

Mark your calendars: Buck Creek Festival May 13-14 Helena, AL.

Ashley (Expression Collection), Tammy (Tamtastic Designs), and I have gotten a booth for Buck Creek Festival in Helena.  The festival is Friday night (6p-10p) and Saturday all day and into the night (10a-10p).

We will have our booth open all day on Saturday and we will be looking forward to seeing lots of people there!

I probably won't be adding a lot of paintings to my collection between now and then, but I would like to add a little something different.  I've got some ideas, but I've got to do a little more research.  I guess you'll just have to wait and see.

In case you don't know much about the festival, there will be live music and a lot of kid-friendly activities... and they have beer!  (We will be conveniently located near the beer tent.)

See you there!

Getting ready for Trade Days

I believe that I've made myself a little crazy getting ready for Tannehill Trade Days.  This is the first "real" craft fair that I've ever done and I'm very excited.

I hope all things go well...  here's what I've been working on to get ready:

What I do...

If you are wondering what I do, I paint, mostly.  And I have some other "spin-offs" that I create based on my original paintings.

My chosen medium for painting is acrylic and I can make prints, greeting cards, and other things based on those paintings.  I really love to paint and recently I've decided to be brave and try to see if I can make it profitable.

I also have begun to get into the "kids" stuff. I've got a brand new nephew,  so I've ventured into the world of creating custom signs for kid's rooms and doors.

I'm also taking orders for other door signs - holiday, collegiate, etc.

I have a certain 'style' that you will be able to tell from my paintings and I would love to help create a custom piece of art for you.

Please message me if you have any questions or comments.

*Pictures of my different projects coming soon.

Welcome to Nefny Studios

I majored in Computer Science at Auburn University and I currently work as an information security analyst in Birmingham, AL.

Sometimes I think that I really missed my calling by not pursuing art as a profession.

I really enjoy painting and I would like to share what I love with the people around me - and if I can start trying to make a living doing it, well... I'd be as happy as a girl can be.

I'm planning to have my paintings featured on here soon. They will be available in originals, prints, greeting cards, and mini-marble magnets. I will also offer some custom work with names and monograms on signs.

I hope that this is a little about me that would make you more interested in seeing my crafts and maybe they'll be able to bring some smiles into your life as they have in mine.
